A year ago, we were in lockdown. Only a
year ago, Church Easter services were either cancelled or rushed
to on-line delivery. Even this year, our lives continue to be
impacted by COVID restrictions and difficulties. However, the
message of the life, death, burial, and the power of Jesus’
Resurrection is just as INCREDIBLE today. And, in a society of
lockdown and social distance, the vital message of hope and life
in Jesus is MORE imperative than ever.
Social distance and lockdown have too
often become relational isolation. Hope seems in short supply as
suicidal ideation and reality, addiction, and escapism away from
meaningful relationship are epidemic. Escape to isolated sin
yields shame that separates relationships even further. Where is
hope?
Hope comes to each heart, one heart at a
time. True hope--not short-lived circumstantial hope, but
transformative and radical hope—the kind of hope that makes
something different. The kind of hope that happens from the inside
out—radical hope comes from Jesus, Who died to give us Hope that
changes us. Jesus brings us to Father God, Who is love. Jesus
shows us the Father’s heart to heal
the sick, hear the hurting, put His arm around the lonely, and
piece together again the brokenhearted.
Jesus went
to a cross to die for your sins and mine, to come into our lives,
to give us relationship with God and to produce freedom-found joy
instead of hopeless bound discouragement. Today, hear His heart
for you:
John 3:16-17 (LEB):
16 For in this way God loved the world, so that he gave
his one and only Son, in order that everyone who believes in him
will not perish, but will have eternal life. 17 For God
did not send his Son into the world in order that he should judge
the world, but in order that the world should be saved through
him.[1]
Let the message of Jesus, His life, death,
burial, and resurrection resonate hope in you. Today, give Jesus
your life. And let His love bring you HOPE like nothing else can
do.
At Grace Christian Center, we love you. If
you are not otherwise committed, you are always welcome to Grace
Christian—where you can find Hope in Jesus. Happy Easter.
