The Grace Christian Center exists to please Jesus—He is our Lord, our Shepherd, our Savior, and the One who gives grace and mercy. He is the One to Whom we surrender our lives and our love.
The Grace Christian Center exists to love Jesus, and to love people. The greatest commands of God are fulfilled in these two passionate purposes—to "love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength" and to "love your neighbor as yourself."
The Grace Christian Center exists to further believer’s intimate personal relationship with Him; to provide strength in Christian fellowship; to reach out to those who do not yet know Him with the love and light of Jesus.
The Grace Christian Center exists to worship Him, to spread His Word, to be salt and light to others, to motivate, inspire, and give joy, hope, life and love to believers and non-believers alike. We are not perfect; yet, we desire to embody the love and presence of Jesus Christ to all we meet and know. We are here to help people love and walk with God.
At The Grace Christian Center, we believe one can know Jesus personally and have a living daily relationship with Him. He is our passion, our purpose, and we love to walk with Him in a close hearing relationship every day. Religion is not enough—our works cannot substitute for His merciful loving kindness and grace in our lives.
The Grace Christian Center believes the Bible is indeed His living Word, relevant for today. We attempt to study and discern God’s will by understanding His Word, and we attempt to apply His Word to our daily lives. As stated previously, we are not yet a perfect people, but our desire is to walk in such a way that ever increases in pleasing Him.
The Grace Christian Center holds to the grace and mercy of God. Grace: receiving a gift that we do not deserve; mercy: not receiving what we DO deserve. We understand at The Grace Christian Center that we deserve judgment and hell for sin—the Bible tells us "the wages of sin is death." But, when we turn to Jesus Christ in faith, ask His forgiveness, surrender our lives to Him, we receive the "gift of eternal life." And, forgiveness is a continued gift to a repentant believer.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
The Grace Christian Center holds to the central truths of Christianity:
We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Our God is eternal and the One to whom all people need to surrender. He is the Author and Finisher of all life, faith, and practice. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the final sacrifice for sins, and He is Lord of all. We believe salvation is available through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and Him alone. We are saved by grace through faith in Him and His work done for us on Calvary, not by any works we can do on our own to make ourselves good enough to earn His grace.
We believe in the Bible as the Holy
Scripture, from which we determine the written and revealed will
of God. God is perfect in His Authorship of the Bible; we are not
perfect in our understanding. Therefore, we attempt to best
discern the meaning of the Scriptures, and choose to apply the
Word of God as best as we are able to our daily lives
We believe in His Church, the Body of Christ, as being essential for believers to receive strength, nourishment, faith encouragement, and inspiration and motivation in their daily walk with God. We are not called to legalism, but to LIFE, and we can build each other up in our faith and practice in our walk with God.
We believe in the Holy Spirit’s presence and activity in each person’s life and walk with God today. He is present, nurturing, convicting, guiding and leading. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit being present in the Body of Christ today, as they are scriptural and encouragements to help build up and encourage the faith of believers. At all times, however, at The Grace Christian Center, we believe the Giver is preeminent and the gift is the servant. We worship the Giver of the Gifts, and we remain grateful for His loving gifts. We endeavor at all times to keep Jesus preeminent.
We believe in inspiring and motivating believers in their Christian growth and in empowering and releasing believers into their giftings, callings and ministries before God. The Body of Christ is "every member involvement" and not a "one man show." The whole Body serves together to fulfill the plan of God. Every member is a minister.
We believe the Body of Christ is to be a family, strength, and refuge for one another. At The Grace Christian Center we believe we are to minister love, mercy, grace and forgiveness to one another, and not legalism, gossip and judgment. The community of Christ is a healing, vital, vibrant, and encouraging community.
At The Grace Christian Center we will help pray for, release, motivate, and empower each believer, as each believer seeks for himself or herself the will of God. We will try to be a confirming and strengthening voice, not a controlling voice. The autonomy of the believer in his or her obedience to Jesus Christ and his or her convictions and conscience is vital. We seek to be a loving community, which recognizes, receives and inspires believers in Christ Jesus.
